MUTASPIR Courses
The annual MUTASPIR courses take place under the direction of Prof. Dr. Eckhard Frick at the monastery in Bernried and are IGGS-certified.
Basic Course: Introduction to Spiritual Care: attitude, foundations, and first steps in practice. For anyone involved in accompanying others – in healthcare, in organizations, or in caregiving contexts.
Advanced Course: Deepening and practice reflection: Spiritual Care in the context of teams, institutions, and complex situations. Includes space for transfer, engagement, and personal development.

Courses in Cooperation
Virtuelle Hochschule Bayern
SEPCare 1 und 2: These online courses provide foundational knowledge in Spiritual Care, Emergency Care, and Palliative Care. Designed for students in medicine, nursing, and social work. You can start at any time.
ReSpirCare: This online course focuses on religious and spiritual resources in trauma processing after flight and migration. It is primarily intended for people working professionally or voluntarily with refugees and migrants – in social services, healthcare, psychotherapy, or chaplaincy.
ESPIRAC: This is an online course offered in Spanish about spirituality, accompaniment, and care. “Espirac” es un curso sobre espiritualidad, acompañamiento y cuidado.
Additional Learning Opportunities
New formats are being developed to deepen specific approaches to Spiritual Care – with a creative-spiritual focus, cultural perspectives, or special target groups. Once available, they will be announced here.
